Mumbai: Actress Sara Ali Khan shared recently that she envied and de-humanised Alia Bhatt when the latter bagged the National Award and thought her ‘life was all set.’
“When Alia got the National Award, I was like, ‘God she got it, she has a kid also, her life is set.’ But I don’t know what she went through to get that. I, as an actor, de-humanised her. You don’t know, she must have had challenges and disappointments too, to reach where she has. But I didn’t realise what went into it. There are two sides to every coin,” Sara said while speaking at NDTV Yuva.
Sara further shared that while she only looked at the brighter side of Alia’s life, she never thought of the hurdles which the ‘Jigra’ actress had to overcome to achieve that success.
“Most often, when we are envious of other people, we feel so without all the information. We are envious because we just see that success and then we want that. We don’t see what goes behind it, we never see it. Envy means blindness,” Sara said.
Alia got married to Ranbir Kapoor in April 2022 and was blessed with a daughter the same year in November.
She won a National Award for ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ in October 2023.
Alia will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War,’ which features Ranbir and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles.
Meanwhile, Sara was recently seen in ‘Sky Force,’ which featured Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya and Nimrat Kaur.
Sara’s next film will be Anurag Basu’s ‘Metro In Dino’ along with Anupam Kher, Konkana Sen, Neena Gupta, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Pankaj Tripathi and Aditya Roy Kapur.
