Vice President-elect Indian-origin Kamala Harris would also join Biden in the virtual meeting, according to The Economic Times.

Biden and Harris will meet with the leaders to discuss the economic recovery and building back better in the long term, said the transition.

“He’ll bring together leaders from business and labour to discuss how — despite our different perspectives — we can work together to reach our common goals,” the transition said ahead of the meeting.

The attendees include AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka, General Motors CEO Mary Barra, SEIU president Mary Kay Henry, UAW president Rory Gamble, CEO and Chairman of the Board at Targe Brian Cornell, UFCW president Marc Perrone and AFSCME president Lee Saunders.
