New Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has scored big on social media yet again with an Instagram post, comparing the militaries of India and Pakistan. This comes a day after fans went wild with a post of his that compared Pakistan with the tail of a dog.
Sehwag’s latest post has two photographs of media briefings by top generals of both countries. For the Indian side he writes ‘Attacks Terrorists’ while his comment for Pakistan is ‘Protects Terrorists.’ Sehwag also states: “Bahut Bada Farak. Jai Hind Ki Sena.”
The former opener, known for his no-nonsense attitude both on and off the field, has shared some very powerful messages ever since Op Sindoor began on May 7. One of these was with a photograph of Col Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh.
“They left our women to go and tell the story of what happened that day, so we sent our women to tell them what we did to them,” Sehwag wrote. This post received 172,206 likes.
Fellow cricketer Satish Dhawan has also been at it. After Pakistan violated the ceasefire on Saturday evening, he posted on X: “Ghatiya desh ne fir apna ghatiyapan poori duniya ke aage dikha diya.” He tagged Pakistan and used the hashtag #Ceasefire.
The whole country was outraged after terrorists massacred 26 persons, mostly tourists, at the Baisaran meadows of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22. Investigations revealed that the attack was masterminded in Pakistan. If the terrorists involved, at least two were Pakistanis, it came to be known.
After two weeks, India struck at nine terrorist hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), killing over 100 terrorists. Pakistan immediately reacted with a missile and drone strike on military and civilian targets in India. This attack was foiled. India responded by knocking out infrastructure at several air bases in Pakistan.
