Seshadev Sahoo Ensures Raksha Bandhan Doesn’t Lose Its Sheen Amid COVID-19 pandemic

Cuttack: Raksha Bandhan, one of Odisha’s most popular festivals, might get spoiled this year due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. But Seshadev Sahoo from Chauliaganj locality in Cuttack district has come forward to ensure that the festival doesn’t lose its sheen entirely, by creating digital photo printed rakhis.

As Odisha continues to add new coronavirus cases by over a thousand on a daily basis, it is believed that the government may not allow usual celebrations of the Raksha Bandhan.

Sahoo used to design Rakhi as per the need of the customers. This year, he has created COVID-19 kit rakhi priced at Rs 270. This special Rakhi kit has a sanitiser, mask, a card, a QR code embedded message key chain, rakhi, and necessary puja items.

“There is a great demand for digital rakhi among the people and we will continue making such rakhis in the coming year too,” Seshadev said.

“I had also created 3D printed face masks. I used to print the face of the user on the mask which makes the person recognisable too, he added.”
