Kendrapara: A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her tuition teacher at Ambapada village in Kendrapara district.
The accused identified as Ganesh Nayak has been arrested by Nikirei police.
According to information, Nayak, a physically-challenged person, used to come to the girl’s house for home tuition since last six month.
The matter came to the light on Friday after a naked video clip featuring the girl was mistakenly sent by the accused through his mobile phone to the victim’s father, who stays somewhere outside the state.
Following the incident, the villagers caught hold of the accused when he visited the victim’s house last evening and then handed him over to the police.
However, the accused has already confessed to the crime.
Meanwhile, the locals demanded strict action against the accused.
