Mumbai: Doe-eyed actress Sharmila Tagore and celebrated cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi’s love story is known to all. But not many are aware of a unique condition that Sharmila had set before walking down the aisle with Pataudi.

According to a report in Asianet, Sharmila had asked Pataudi to hit a hat-trick of sixes in a match if he wanted to marry her. The legendary cricketer agreed, and the rest is history.

Despite hurdles that came their way due to their religion, Sharmila and Pataudi got hitched in 1969.

It was a case of opposites attracting each other, and they bridged the gaps well and had a wonderful married life, before Pataudi passed away in 2011.

They have three children — Saif Ali Khan, Soha Ali Khan and Saba Ali Khan — all of whom are doing well in their personal and professional lives.
