New Delhi: In a major development in the Shraddha Walkar murder case, a few bone samples collected by Delhi Police from Mehrauli forest and some areas of Gurugram have matched her father’s DNA.
This can be used as evidence against Aaftab Poonawala, who has already confessed to murdering her live-in partner.
Shraddha Walkar’s jaw is among the 13 bones that the police had pulled out of the forest.

The arrest of Poonawala on November 12 sent shockwaves through India as shocking details of the gruesome murder emerged.
After Poonawala’s confession, police searched several forest areas in Mehrauli, Gurugram and bushy localities near his DLF-Phase 2 office in Gurugram. Police even drained a pond in Madangir in search of Shraddha’s missing body parts.

Police discovered plastic bags containing some of Shraddha’s body parts. Her jaw was among the 13 bones that police had pulled out of the forest.
A thorough report of Poonawala’s polygraph test has also been given to Delhi Police.
The main accused in the horrific murder underwent several sessions of polygraph narco analysis test after a Delhi court granted permission.
