Mumbai: After weeks of drama, heated rivalries and unexpected twists, Shreya Kalra emerged victorious in the grand finale of ‘Lock Upp 2’, defeating Shivangi Joshi to lift the coveted trophy and take home the ₹1 crore prize money.
The finale began with a challenging physical task, after which Ram Kapoor finished in fifth place and was eliminated from the competition.
The next round was the Bluff Master task, where Yogesh Rawat was given the chance to outsmart the remaining finalists — Shivangi Joshi, Shreya Kalra and Shilpa Shinde — and snatch the “unsafe” status band.
Yogesh successfully managed to convince Shilpa, resulting in her elimination and securing his position in the top three.
The final Agnipariksha saw the top contestants face a jury panel comprising celebrities and journalists.
During the intense question-and-answer session, Shivangi was questioned about her bond with Harshad Chopda, while Yogesh was criticised over his attitude.
Shreya faced tough questions from Awez Darbar, who accused her of not being a loyal friend and of revealing other contestants’ secrets during the game.
She was also labelled a “naagin” by the jury for frequently getting into conflicts and targeting fellow inmates.
Following the grilling session, the jury votes decided the top two finalists, with Yogesh being eliminated from the race for the trophy.
In the final stage, former contestants voted between Shreya and Shivangi, while the jailers also chose their preferred finalist.
The winner was ultimately decided through a combined vote from the jailers, ex-inmates and the Janta Ki Jury.
Shreya Kalra was eventually declared the winner of Lock Upp 2. Overwhelmed with emotion, she broke down after her name was announced as the champion.
Shivangi Joshi, meanwhile, appeared disappointed with the result, while Shilpa Shinde was seen in tears as she celebrated Shreya’s victory.
Hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, ‘Lock Upp 2’ emerged as one of the most talked-about reality shows of the season.
