Bhubaneswar: The coronavirus claimed six more lives in Odisha, taking the death toll to 48 on Wednesday.
While three deaths were reported from Ganjam, one patient each succumbed to the infection in Kendrapada, Khurda and Rayagada. Kendrapada and Rayagada are the new additions to Odisha’s corona death map.
Details of the patients are awaited.
Ganjam’s death toll rose to 27 with these new cases and that of Khurda district to eight.

The virus had earlier claimed five lives in Cuttack and one each in Puri, Angul, Jajpur, Sundargarh, Gajapati and Bargarh.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 tally in Odisha has surged to 10624 with 527 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
