Mumbai: It seems good Samaritan Sonu Sood won’t relax unless he sends the remaining stranded migrants back home safely.
After arranging buses for migrants, Sonu Sood is now busy booking chartered flights for helpless migrant workers to return home.
As per reports, Sonu recently booked a chartered flight which flew 173 migrant workers from Mumbai to Dehradun in Uttarakhand.
“As another chartered plane takes flight today, our efforts to help migrant workers stranded in various parts of the country have only grown stronger. Most of them have never had the opportunity to experience air travel, and the smiles on their faces brings me a lot of joy as they take this AirAsia India flight to reach home to their families and friends,” said Sonu.
The Airbus A320 plane, operated by budget airline AirAsia India, with 173 migrants on board, took off from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) at 1.57 pm and landed at the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun at 4.41 pm, an AirAsia India spokesperson told PTI.
The Dabangg star said he will be arranging more flights for migrant workers.
Last week, Sonu had arranged a special flight for 167 migrant workers stuck in Kerala to fly to Odisha.
