Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sooraj Pancholi on Monday night filed a complaint with Mumbai’s Versova police against miscreants who are allegedly trying to defame him on social media platforms.
According to a PTI report, an official said that the actor has submitted a complaint to the Mumbai Police against being linked with the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
“We have received an application from Sooraj Pancholi and an enquiry is on,” Senior Inspector of Versova police station Raghvendra Thakur was quoted as saying.
However, no offence has been registered till date, said the official.
Post Sushant’s death, messages, screenshots and derogatory content linking Sooraj to the late actor and his celebrity manager Disha Salian’s death started doing the rounds on social media platforms.
Rumour mills were working overtime that Sooraj Pancholi was dating Disha Salian and had killed her when she became pregnant with his child. When Sushant confronted Sooraj, he killed the actor too.
