Stage Set For Annual HSC Exams In Odisha Tomorrow
Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has made necessary arrangements for smooth conduct of the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations beginning at 2818 centres across Odisha on Friday.
For proper supervision of the examination centres, the Board had conducted a training camp for the flying squad teams.
However, out of 95 teachers called to attend the training camp, 46 teachers had turned up at the training camp.
“We have asked the absentee teachers to report at the Board’s headquarters office at once and state the reason of their inability in joining the training camp failing which stern action would be initiated against them,” said Board president Dr Jahan Ara Begum.
Meanwhile the district administration has made adequate security arrangements for the HSC examinations in the Maoist prone areas in Bonai sub-division.
For the safety and security of the students, elaborate security has been made in five nodal centres and 28 examinations centres, sources said.
Around 5,90,330 students including 5,67,254 Regular students will appear in the annual HSC examinations in 2,818 centres across the state which will conclude on March 8.
In a bid to curb malpractice, the School and Mass Education Department this year has asked the BSE to make special provisions for the students to appear in the examinations at other examination centres instead of appearing in their own schools.
