Bhubaneswar: Super Speciality OPD treatment facility was inaugurated at the ESI Hospital, Bhubaneswar on Thursday by Minister of Labour & Employees State Insurance, Forest, Environment & Climate Change Ganesh Ram Singkhuntia.
The service will be provided in partnership with Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital, Bhubaneswar. Patients can avail of highly-specialised treatment in Urology, Cardiology, Oncology, Neurosurgery, Nephrology, Neurology and Endocrinology.
The service is available free of cost to insured employees and their family members.
ESI scheme in Odisha provides treatment to around 10 lakh insured employees through 4 hospitals and 53 dispensaries in the state. There is a proposal to open 5 more hospitals.
The first dialysis unit was recently opened in ESI Hospital Bhubaneswar.
With kidney and heart diseases on the rise, ESI has tied up with 12 Secondary Care and 15 Tertiary Care centres in different districts for better treatment of beneficiaries.
