Mumbai: Post her divorce from Naga Chaitanya in 2021, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu was seen sharing the stage for the first time with her ex-mother-in-law Amala Akkineni at the Zee Telugu Awards ceremony.
In a viral video clip from the event, Samantha was seen delivering an emotional speech, while thanking the audience and her fans for their love and support throughout her career.
Amala cheered for her former daughter-in-law and appeared to be visibly proud of her.
One fan wrote, “Nagarjuna’s wife claps 😮.”
Another quipped, “How Amala appreciates ❤.”
“Amala was also at the event,” a third commented.

Samantha and Chaitanya, who tied the knot in 2017, parted ways after four years of marriage.
Recalling her separation from Chaitanya during an interview last year, Samantha said, “I remember specifically the year before I had this problem, it was an extremely difficult year for me. I specifically remember the day that I think my friend/partner/manager Himank, and I were traveling back from Mumbai. And this was in June of the year before last, and I remember telling him that finally I feel calm. I haven’t felt a little relaxed and a little calm in a very, very long time. And I finally feel like I can breathe and I can go to sleep, and I can now wake up and focus on my work and be the best that I can be at work. And I woke up with this condition.”
Last year, Chaitanya married another actress Sobhita Dhulipala. On the other hand, Samantha is rumoured to be dating director Raj Nidimoru.
