Surge In COVID-19 Cases Takes Affected Tally Past 700 In Odisha’s Sambalpur

Sambalpur: The surge in COVID-19 cases continued in Odisha’s Sambalpur with another 72 new patients being added to the affected tally in the last 24 hours.

Among them, 56 are contacts cases and another 16 detected during active surveillance.

With this, the total mounted to 735 on Wednesday with 393 cases being detected between July 31 and August 5. The district had seen a record 93 cases on August 3.

With one death and 234 recoveries, Sambalpur now has 500 active cases.
