Sushant Singh Rajput Case: SC To Hear Rhea Chakraborty’s Plea On August 5

Mumbai: After Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, the actress moved the Supreme Court seeking transfer of the case from Patna to Mumbai.

According to a Deccan Herald report, the official website of Supreme Court has tentatively scheduled the hearing of Rhea’s plea on August 5.

Rhea had filed a petition in the top court on July 29, after an FIR filed by Sushant’s father claimed that she exploited his son financially and cheated on him, compelling him to take the drastic step of committing suicide.

In her petition, the actress stated that she is being falsely implicated in the case by Sushant’s family members.

She also stated that the actor was suffering from depression and was undergoing treatment for it. She was in a live-in relationship with the actor till June 8, 2020.

After Rhea’s petition, Sushant’s father filed a caveat in the Supreme Court, requesting the court to hear both parties before taking a decision.

Following this, the Bihar government also filed a similar caveat in the top court.
