Three teenagers have developed an app which uses music to comfort those who are suffering from dementia.
Concerned about how people with dementia were coping during coronavirus-induced lockdown, Rachel, Margaret and Joy put their heads together to design and code an app called ‘Memory Haven’, reported BBC News.
The app has gained widespread recognition and won a prize at the prestigious technology competition ‘Technovation’, beating competition from 1,500 entries from across 62 countries.
The teenagers, from Ireland and Nigeria, are hopeful that the app will go global and reach millions of people who are affected by dementia.
