Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to experience heatwave and hot and humid conditions till May 14, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Saturday.
Hot and humid conditions may prevail at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack and Jajpur districts on May 10.
Similar warning has been issued for Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack and Jajpur from May 11-14.
Heatwave is likely to return to the state from May 11. Yellow warning has been issued for these following places during the next four days.
May 11: Jharsuguda, Boudh, Balangir, Sundargarh, and Sambalpur.
May 12: Jharsuguda, Boudh, Balangir, Sundargarh and Sambalpur.
May 13: Jharsuguda, Boudh, Balangir, Sundargarh, Kalahandi, and Sambalpur.
May 14: Jharsuguda, Boudh, Balangir, Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Angul, Nayagarh, and Sambalpur.
The weather agency has also forecast a rise in the day temperature by 3-5 degree Celsius during the next 4-5 days.
