Srinagar: A migrant worker was killed and another was critically injured in a terrorist attack at a brick kiln in Jammu & Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday.
Police sources said terrorists fired at two non-local workers who were working late in the evening at Kellam village in Kulgam.
Deepak, a resident of Chhattisgarh, was brought dead to the hospital after succumbing to his injuries before he could be transported for advanced medical care, India Today reported.
Bhupinder, the other injured labourer, was referred to Government Medical College (GMC), Anantnag, for advanced treatment.
Security forces rushed to the spot following the attack, cordoned off the area and launched an intense search operation. Forces were continuing the search for the attackers late at night.
Just over a week ago, terrorists shot dead a police officer in Anantnag town.
