Thunderstorm, 40-50 Kmph Wind Likely In 3 Odisha Dists Today; Temp To Fall After 2 Days

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued orange warning for moderate thunderstorm accompanied by wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph in some parts of Balasore, Bhdarak and Jajpur till 6 pm.

These districts are also likely to experience lightning and light to moderate rain.

“Under its impact, there can be minor damage to loose/unsecured structures, banana trees and standing crops,” the IMD said, advising people to move to safer places.

The MeT office has also forecast light to moderate rain/thunderstorm/lightning in some parts of Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Rayagada, Gajapati, and Koraput till 7 pm.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 Kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Boudh, Kandhamal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore.

Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh and Khordha.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Khordha, Puri, Mayurbhanj and Balasore.

Rainfall activity will continue at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj during the subsequent 24 hours.

The IMD further said that there will be no large change in the day temperature during next the 2 days and fall slightly by about 2 degree Celsius in the subsequent 2 days.
