Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, has issued an alert saying moderate thunderstorm or lightning and light to moderate rain with hail and gusty wind with speeds reaching 30-40 kmph are expected at one or two places in Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Raygada, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore districts from 3.15 pm to 6.15 pm on Saturday.
A similar alert has been sounded for one or two places in Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Ganjam and Nayagarh between 5 pm and 8 pm.
