Berhampur: TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) has upgraded a 5 MVA transformer to a 10 MVA transformer at the Nabarangpur Primary Sub-Station (PSS).
The sub-station is now equipped with an 8 MVA transformer and the newly-installed 10 MVA transformer, with its total capacity increasing from 13 MVA to 18 MVA.
It’s a significant step towards enhancing power reliability during peak summer season, and will benefit over 14,000 consumers in Nabarangpur city and surrounding areas.
To meet the increasing demand for electricity during summer, TPSODL has strengthened its infrastructure to provide uninterrupted and reliable power to both residential and industrial consumers. Nabarangpur has several rice mills, cashew processing units and small-scale industries that depend on a stable power supply.
The latest upgrade will also help businesses in the region to operate without disruptions.
“Ensuring reliable power supply, especially during summer, remains our top priority. This upgrade is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and meet the growing demand. We are continuously working to overcome challenges and deliver quality electricity to all our consumers,” said TPSODL CEO Amit Kumar Garg.
