Bhubaneswar: Under police scrutiny over the death of his girlfriend in Bengaluru, popular travel vlogger Laba Hansda is now embroiled in a fresh controversy in Odisha amid allegation that he is married and has a daughter.
Bengaluru Police have reportedly registered a case against Hansda following allegations over his girlfriend’s recent death.
The deceased’s family has accused Hansda of being responsible for her death, claiming emotional distress caused by his alleged involvement with multiple women.
Hansda’s trouble has further mounted following a fresh controversy after a man claiming to be his father-in-law alleged that he is married and has a daughter. A fresh row cropped up on social media following claims by the man that he is the father-in-law of the well-known travel vlogger.
He alleged that Hansda is already married but now lives away from his wife and daughter.
Hansda’s family has reportedly confirmed the claim and his cousin said that the vlogger was married before and has a daughter.
“Laba has been married for a long time. His wife is now living in Bhadrak where she works. We know that he is married and has a daughter. We are not aware of his other relationships,” said Hansda’s cousin, Budhirai Hansda.
The marriage reportedly took place at Monoharpur in Keonjhar district before Hansda gained popularity. It is said that his wife and daughter are currently staying in a rented accommodation in Bhadrak.
As per reports, Hansda is originally a native of Seleipokhari, in Sarat area of Mayurbhanj district. While most of his family members are in Bhadrak. Hansda reportedly visits his native village for short stays.
Laba Hansda is yet make his position clear on the issue.
Notably, Bengaluru HSR Layout Police have booked Laba after his rumoured girlfriend from Bihar and residing in Bengaluru, was found dead. The woman’s brother has alleged that Hansda’s involvement with multiple women resulted in heated arguments and emotional stress that forced her to die by suicide.
Based on his complaint, police registered a case and have launched a probe into the incident.
