Mumbai: News channel Republic TV ‘s distribution head Ghanshyam Singh was arrested by Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) of the crime branch on Tuesday in the alleged rigged TRP (Television Rating Point) scam.
Singh, also the Assistant Vice President of the Republic Media Network, was arrested from his residence around 7.40 am, crime branch official told PTI.

With this, CIU has so far arrested 12 people in connection with the scam. Singh was earlier questioned by the CIU.
Republic’s Editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami is currently lodged in Taloja jail in Navi Mumbai in a 2018 abetment to suicide case. The Bombay High Court on Monday rejected his interim bail plea.
