Jajpur: Two girls were feared drowned in Kharasrota river in Jajpur district on Friday.
According to reports, Pinki Das (13), a Class VII student and daughter of Dusashan Das, and Milli (11), a Class VI student and daughter of Arun Das, were swept away by strong currents while bathing in the river. Locals saw them drowning and immediately alerted fire officials. Though fire brigade personnel have launched a search and rescue operation, they are yet to trace them.
The duo hail from Jari village under Binjharpur police limits in the district.
