New Delhi: The Central government is likely to issue guidelines for Unlock 2.0 around June 30. The rapid increase of coronavirus cases notwithstanding, the restrictions are set to ease, reported DNA.
Among the first in the list is allowing international air travel on certain selected routes, DNA reported sources as saying. International flights are likely to resume by mid-July to countries like US, UK, France and Germany. It may be noted that several airlines have raised objection to Air India’s monopoly in ‘Vande Bharat’ mission.
Earlier, Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had said that a decision to resume international passenger flights will be taken in July if coronavirus behaves in a “predictable manner” and the entire aviation ecosystem and state governments are on board.
