Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Thursday unearthed a G+3 storey building worth Rs 1.8 crore, a triple-storey building and a flat in Bhubaneswar, eight plots and Rs 1.24 lakh in cash during raids on properties linked to Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Rayagada Peripheral, Bijay Kumar Parida on the allegation of having accumulated assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Simultaneous searches are being carried out by a team of 8 DSPs, 6 inspectors and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge,Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, at 7 places in Rayagada, Khurdha, Cuttack and Jajpur districts, including his government quarters at Gandhi Nagar area near Kali Puja Padia and office at Raniguda farm.
House of a relative at Srikoruan village, Cuttack, and one in his native village Damodarpur, Kalinga Nagar, Jajpur, are also being searched.
ASSETS UNEARTHED
1) G+3 storey building (under construction) with plinth area of 9,500 sqft worth Rs 1.8 crore over Khata No-200/391, Plot No-16/708 at Srikoruan, Cuttack.
2) One triple-storey building with plinth area of 5100 sqft at Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar
3) Flat-304, 3rd floor, Block-A, Ashirbad Plaza, Kalarhanga, Patia, Bhubaneswar.
4) 8 plots in and around Bhubaneswar, Puri, Cuttack and Jajpur
i) A piece of land vide plot No.721, Khata No.375/296 of area Ac 0.08 decimal at mouza Dhawa, Baranga, Bhubaneswar.
ii) A piece of land vide plot No.706, Khata No.156 of area Ac 0.12 decimal at mouza Dhawa, Baranga, Bhubaneswar.
iii) A piece of land vide plot No.31, Khata No.128 of area Ac 0.08 decimal at mouza Bhartipur, Puri.
iv) A piece of land vide plot No.999/10502, Khata No.521/5553 of area Ac 0.032 decimal at mouza Balukhand, Puri.
v) A piece of land vide plot No.16/708, Khata No.200/391 of area Ac 0.12 decimal at mouza Srikoruan, Cuttack.
vi) A piece of land vide plot No.305, Khata No.167 of area Ac 0.18 decimal at mouza Srikoruan, Cuttack.
vii) A piece of land vide plot No.523, Khata No.123 of area Ac 0.02 decimal at mouza Rabana, Sukinda, Jajpur.
viii) A piece of land vide plot No.530, Khata No.70 of area Ac 0.05 decimal at mouza Rabana, Sukinda, Jajpur.
5) Rs 1,24,600 in cash
6) A four-wheeler (Maruti Swift DZIRE) and 2 two-wheelers.
7) Bank, Insurance and other deposits are under verification.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above flat/buildings/ plots is being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing, an official release said.
