Cuttack: Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday raided the residences of Professor and head of department of clinical haematology at SCB Medical College and Hospital Dr Rabindra Kumar Jena for allegedly amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Simultaneous raids were conducted by a 12-member team of the anti-corruption wing at 12 places in Cuttack, including Jena’s official residence (Qr No.JO/4) on SCB campus, B/1483 located at CDA, house no. 114 at Mahanadi Vihar and flat no. 302 at Majesty Tower in Mangalabag, vigilance sources said.
Besides, his ancestral house located at Vijaynagar in Mahakalpada of Kendrapara district was raided.
Similar raids were also carried out at the offices of SCB principal, superintendent, two medicine stores named HLL Life Care and Central Store at the medical college in connection with the case, the sources added.
