Keonjhar: Vigilance sleuths on Friday nabbed a junior engineer while accepting a bribe of Rs 11, 000 from a contractor and arrested him.
According to sources, the Vigilance department was tipped off about Pramod Kumar Panda, a junior engineer working in Sadar block of the district, will take the bribe money to get the official work of the contractor done.
The Vigilance sleuths laid a trap and caught Pramod red-handed while accepting the bribe from the contractor.
The money seized from Panda’s possession. The chemicals on Pramod’s hands matched with the notes confirming acceptance of a bribe, Vigilance sources said.
