Sambalpur: A day shutdown later, the Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) at Burla in Odisha’s Sambalpur district was on Wednesday sealed for seven days after a woman lecturer tested positive for COVID-19
Vice-chancellor Atal Choudhury said that campus has been declared as a ‘No Entry Zone’ and all staffers of the Civil Engineering Department of VSSUT have been placed under home quarantine.

The decision was taken after the 52-year-old teacher was found to have contracted the virus a day after the death of her husband, a senior official of NALCO who was undergoing treatment at VIMSAR in Burla.
