An eight-year-old swimming with an 11-foot python is something that you don’t hear about often. But Israeli girl Inbar Regev does precisely that every day, in her backyard swimming pool.
She has been best of friends with the giant python – who has been named ‘Belle’, after the lead character from the Disney film Beauty and the Beast — since she was very young.

The python’s body colour resembles the yellow gown that the character in the popular film dons in a dance scene, hence the name.
Inbar lives with her parents in an animal sanctuary in southern Israel, and thus has grown up with different kind of animals around her, according to Reuters.
With schools being closed for several months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Inbar has been spending a lot of time with Belle.
“It helps me pass time because I really like to hang out with snakes and sometimes I help snakes shed (their skin)… I help them to be happy during coronavirus,” Inbar was quoted as saying.
