[Watch] Amitabh Bachchan Reveals Why He Married Jaya Bachchan
Mumbai: It’s not often that Amitabh Bachchan talks about her romance and marriage with Jaya Bachchan.
The Big B, however, opened up on Kaun Banega Crorepati after admiring a female contestant’s (Priyanka) hair quality.
A promotional video released by Sony TV shows the contestant telling host Amitabh that she works as manager in in a beauty and wellness brand.
Amitabh, who has been hosting the game show for over a decade, then praises Priyanka’s ‘beautiful hair’, and adds that one of the reasons she married Jaya was because of her long hair, evoking peals of laughter among the contestant and the audience
After posing another ‘personal question’ on Priyanka’s tattooes on both arms, Amitabh said he keeps his little finger’s nails longer.
Asked why, the Big B brought the house down by saying it was to scratch his ears.

Amitabh and Jaya got married in June 1973, and are parents to Abhishek and Shweta.
Bachchan, who turned 80 last month, has continued to work in films. Sooraj Barjatya-directed ‘Uunchai’, featuring Big B, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa, Neena Gupta, Sarika and Parineeti Chopra, released last week in theatres.
