Bhubaneswar: ‘BAD Salsa’ duo Sonali Majumder and Sumanth Sumanth Maroju of Odisha figured in the top 10 of the finale of America’s Got Talent Season 15.
But they failed to make it to the Final 5 announced by host Terry Crews on Wednesday night. The stars who made the cut included 11-year-old singer Roberta Battaglia, poet Brandon Leake, country duo Broken Roots, aerialist Alan Silva and songstress Cristina Rae.
After counting all the votes, spoken word artist Brandon Leake emerged as the grand champion with singing duo Broken Roots as the runners up.
Ever since their audition round, ‘BAD Salsa’ had been garnering encouraging comments from the judges. The salsa dancers had impressed all with their quick footwork and dangerous acrobatic skills. The judges often appreciated them with a standing ovation.
