[Watch] BCCI’s Video Tribute To Virat Kohli, Who Plays His 100th Test Tomorrow

Mumbai: Several Indian cricketing greats including Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and Indian team’s head coach Rahul Dravid feature in the board’s heartfelt video tribute to former Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who will play his 100th Test in Mohali on Friday.

India will play the first of a two-Test series against Sri Lanka in Mohali. Kohli will play his 100th Test under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, who will be leading India for the first time in Test matches.

The BCCI has allowed 50 per cent spectators for the match at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium.

* In 168 Test innings, Kohli has amassed 7,962 runs at an average of 50.39.

* He has scored 27 hundreds and 28 fifties in Tests.

* Kohli led India in 68 Tests and won 40 matches, holding the record for most Test wins as captain.

* Kohli led India to 24 Test victories at home.

* He scored 20 Test centuries as skipper, second-most for any player, after Graeme Smith.

* He made his Test debut against the West Indies at Kingston in 2011. He scored 4 and 15 in that match.
