Mumbai: Filmmaker Farah Khan and her cook Dilip have been attracting a lot eyeballs for their vlogs with celebrities, which are apparently more popular than her films.
In her recent vlog with actor Rohit Saraf, Farah has taken a sly dig at Deepika Padukone’s 8-hour shift demand because of which the actress was also reportedly dropped from two big projects — ‘Spirit’ and ‘Kalki 2’.
During a candid chat with Farah, Rohit said that it was the first time his mother was appearing in front of the camera and that the filmmaker had made them wait for a year for this.
Farah joked, “Haan itna time toh Deepika Padukone ne nahi lagaya mujhe haan bolne mein. (Yes, even Deepika Padukone didn’t take so much time to say ‘Yes’ to me.)”
Farah’s cook Dilip then asked her when Deepika will appear on their vlog.
Farah cheekily replied that the actress shoots only for 8 hours these days and doesn’t have time for their vlog.
“Deepika Padukone ma’am kab aayengi humare show main (when will Deepika ma’am come to our show)?” asked Dilip. Farah’s reply was, “Jiss din tu gaon jaayega naa uss din aayegi (the day you go to your village).”
Farah added, “Deepika Padukone ab sirf 8 ghanta shoot karti hai, usko show pe aane ka time nahi hai (She shoots only for 8 hours now, she doesn’t have time to shoot for our vlog).”
After giving birth to daughter Dua in September 2024, Deepika wants to balance her personal and professional life by limiting her working hours.
This apparently didn’t go down well with some filmmakers, who chose to drop the actress from their projects.
After exiting from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Spirit’, she was also dropped from the sequel of ‘Kalki 2’.
