[Watch] French Dancer Spread COVID-19 Awareness Through Odissi, Dutee, Archita & Babushaan Too Have A Message For You

Bhubaneswar: The novel coronavirus scare has made countries undergo complete lockdown with denizens staying isolated in their houses.

During this tough time, many celebrities and artists, who have scores of ardent followers, are doing their bit by taking to social media platforms to spread awareness about the pandemic.

Popular for her innovative and unique dance forms, Odissi dancer of French origin Mahina Khanum, uploaded a short video on Twitter to spread awareness on fast-spreading COVID-19 through her dance steps.

Mahina tweeted, “In this time of lockdown in France, I am confined at home for weeks. Here is a short video to stay creative and sane!,” she tweeted.

“Let’s spread the word about the ‘barrier gestures’. These simple steps can slow the virus and save lives,” she added

Among others, athlete Dutee Chand took to Twitter to share information regarding medical assistance in case of emergency.

Dutee tweeted, “Residents of Odisha who have recently visited abroad, please register yourself on https://covid19.odisha.gov.in or call 104 & go for self quarantine for 14 days. Medical assistance will reach you. This is the need of the hour for your safety & that of the state.”

In another tweet, she said:

Sympathizing with the less-privileged artists, actor Archita Sahu tweeted, “Entertainment is not fun. This is source of bread n butter for many technicians, lightmen, spot boys, dancers, decorators, camera team, directors team, electricians make-up team, transport, food n we artists.Livelihood of lakhs of people is on stake.Pls stay home so that we all can go back to normal life.”

In another tweet, she said:

Actor Babhusaan Mohanty shared a message on his Facebook page requesting his fans to wash hands frequently and at the same time not to waste water.
