[Watch] Murderous Attack On BJD Worker In Odisha’s Bargarh; Party Alleges BJP Hand

Bhubaneswar: A BJD workers sustained serious injures in a poll-related violence in Panikipalli area under Sohela block of Bargarh district during the fourth phase of elections on Tuesday.

Bargarh district BJD president Pradyumna Tripathi said they reached the spot after being informed about the murderous attack on a senior party worker during the polling process. Tripathi said around 12.30 pm a group of BJP workers allegedly attacked the worker.

Tripathi said the party worker fractured his leg and hand. He was first rushed to Sohela CHC and later taken to VSSMCH at Burla for further treatment.

In another incident in Bhadrak, a young BJD worker was attacked allegedly by the BJP men in Chandbali block of Tentulidih panchayat.

According to reports, the BJP activists attacked brother of present sarpanch of Tentulidih Paresh Bishwal. The Sarpanch’s brother was seriously injured in the attack and rushed to a hospital and from there he was shifted to SCB medical at Cuttack.

It may be mentioned that the sarpanch Purnachandra’s wife is contesting for the Sarpanch post, which the local leaders said led to fear of defeat among the BJP.
