Bhubaneswar: A day after Tanmay Mohanty aka Babushaan issued a statement that he would no longer do films with Prakruti Mishra following a brawl with his wife on the streets of Bhubaneswar, the actress on Sunday released a video on her official Instagram account and said that the movie in which they were to act together again has been called off.

“I was a co-producer. It would have been one of the biggest projects in Odisha to be produced in different languages,” she said.

Prakruti almost broke down while talking about the Saturday assault involving the actor’s wife Trupti. “I really don’t understand what she gained from the ‘goondagardi’. They came with eight goons, her father pulled me by my shirt. They harassed me in the best way possible. I have nothing to say about it as it shows their upbringing,” she said.

She further said that the incident was just a reflection of the society we live in. “While I was being harassed, people went on clicking selfies instead of hearing my cry for help,” she said.

She also extorted girls not to give in during such situations. “I fought alone and maintained my dignity and grace. My parents have lodged a complaint with the police and the law will take its course,” she said.

Responding to the homewrecker allegation, the actress further said: “Nobody can break anybody’s house. It was already broken. It is better, she (Babushaan’s wife) chains him up at home if she is feeling so insecure.”

Prakruti further said that the incident turned her from a reel into a real-life heroine. “I will not stop, I will work and shine brighter and brighter,” she added.

Earlier in the day, Aparajita Mohanty, actress and mother of Ollywood star Babushaan, said that her son fell into bad company during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has ruined him.
