Last week, when Salman shared a post on ceasefire between India and Pakistan, a section of netizens criticised the actor for staying tight-lipped on Operation Sindoor.
Salman had tweeted, “Thank God for the ceasefire….”
One user responded: “No tweets about Operation Sindoor. Why?”
Another wrote, “You didn’t say anything about India’s Operation Sindoor against Pakistan.”
Soon after the backlash, Salman deleted his post on X.
After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, Salman had tweeted, “Kashmir, heaven on planet earth, turning into hell. Innocent people being targeted, my heart goes out to their families. Ek bhi innocent ko marna puri kainath ko marne ke barabar hai (Killing one innocent person is similar to killing the entire universe).”
