Bikaner: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a rally in Rajasthan’s Deshnoke today, issued a powerful and emotional message on national security, declaring that India avenged the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack within 22 minutes through Operation Sindoor, a precision military offensive targeting terrorist hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
“In response to the April 22 attack, we destroyed the nine biggest terrorist hideouts in just 22 minutes,” PM Modi told the roaring crowd. “The enemies of the world have seen what happens when sindoor (vermilion) turns into barood (gunpowder),” he added.
“Not Blood, Sindoor Boils in My Veins”
In a speech laced with symbolism and emotion, the Prime Minister evoked nationalistic imagery, stating, “Not blood, but sindoor boils in my veins.” He underscored the pain and anger felt by every Indian following the Pahalgam massacre, in which 26 civilians were killed in a religiously motivated terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
“India is not going to be afraid of nuclear bomb threats”
“The terrorists dared to touch the sindoor of our daughters by asking them their religion before killing them. But today, those who did that have been reduced to dust,” he declared.
“Operation Sindoor has decided three formulas to fight terrorism. First, if there is a terror attack in India, then they will get a befitting reply. Our forces will decide the time, method and conditions. Second, India is not going to be afraid of nuclear bomb threats. Third, we will not differentiate between terrorists and the governments dependent on them…”

Operation Sindoor: A Decisive Military Response
Launched on May 7, Operation Sindoor was India’s retaliation to the brutal Pahalgam attack. According to government sources, nearly 100 terrorists affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen were neutralized. The operation reportedly targeted nine major terror installations across the border using airpower and precision-guided weapons.
PM Modi praised the valor of the Indian Armed Forces, stating that they were given a “free hand” to act, resulting in what he described as a response that “brought Pakistan to its knees.”

Modi’s Message: “India Will Not Bow”
The Prime Minister referenced his post-airstrike speech from Churu in 2019, reiterating his commitment:
“I had said then, ‘I swear on this soil, I will not let my country be destroyed, I will not let my country bow down.’ Today, from the land of Rajasthan, I reaffirm this to the nation.”
He added that India’s silence can no longer be taken for weakness. “Those who were proud of their weapons now lie buried under rubble. Those who believed India would remain silent are now hiding in fear,” he proclaimed.
A New Paradigm of National Justice
Calling Operation Sindoor a “new form of justice”, Modi said this was not just a retaliatory act, but a reflection of New India’s fierce capability and willpower.
“This is not just anger. This is a powerful India. This is a transformed India,” he said. “India’s enemies have seen that this nation remembers every drop of blood and answers it with precision.”
A Rallying Cry Ahead of Polls
The speech, delivered in the politically significant state of Rajasthan ahead of upcoming state and general elections, served not just as a message of national security, but also a rallying cry to galvanize public sentiment and reinforce the government’s tough-on-terror image.
PM Modi concluded by reiterating that India is united against terrorism and will continue to act decisively to protect its people and sovereignty.
