New Delhi: It was a scene which can only be visualised in a Bollywood romcom.
But it played out in real life, at OP Jindal University in Haryana’s Sonipat.
A student of the university was caught trying to sneak a girl — believed to be his girlfriend — into the boys’ hostel by stuffing her inside a suitcase!
The incident was recorded on camera and has since gone viral.
The 12-second clip shows security guards trying to unzip the large suitcase, only to find a girl curled up inside.

The footage, reportedly filmed by a fellow student, has sparked widespread discussions on social media.
It’s not clear how university authorities came to know about the daring act by the student.
According to some reports, the girl screamed when the suitcase hit a bump, thereby alerting the hostel staff.
The video has raised questions about security in the campus and how a human being could be brought in without being detected.
‘Not a big deal’
The PRO of the university tried to dismiss the incident as nothing serious.
“Our students were just being mischievous, and because our security is tight, the student was caught. It’s not a big deal. Our security is always strict, and no one has filed any sort of complaint regarding the matter,” the PRO told India Today.
Since going viral, the video has garnered over 4 lakh views within hours.
Most users were found it amusing, while some recalled their experiences of breaking into dorms while in college.
“These suitcases have multiple uses these days. Anyway, I like the idea. However, I’m past my age to try it,” commented one user.
“The suitcase brand should use this for advertising,” quipped another person.
“Happened once in our hostel also,” said one user.
“What a couple, they’ll have a story to tell for sure. Warna all you hear about is ‘ji wo toh unke mummy papa ke saath dekhne aaye aur hum pyaar mein pad gaye.’ Need more of this please,” remarked one person.
