Sambalpur: The Western Odisha Lawyers’ Association has decided to relax its agitation for a permanent High Court Bench, after the Election Commission of India enforced its model code of conduct for the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha polls.
Following a decision taken by the Sambalpur District Bar Association at its general body meeting here on Wednesday, all affidavits can be filed in court from March 15. Land can be registered in court from March 18 and court work will start partially from March 25. Emergency legal services will be provided.
The association has been agitating since September 5 to demand a permanent High Court bench in Western Odisha.
