Mumbai: Even as fans are eagerly looking forward to the collaboration between Allu Arjun and Atlee for the upcoming sci-fi, reports are doing the rounds that the actor will be playing a double role in the film.
The actor will be sporting two distinct looks for the two different characters in the project, which is tentatively titled as AA22 x A6, as per a report in ETimes.
Reports also suggest that the actor will be undergoing massive physical transformation in the film, which was announced on his birthday.
As per another report in Filmfare, Allu Arjun will be seen playing the role of a warrior in the high-octane action film.
Earlier, a report suggested that this Allu Arjun-Atlee film is being made at a staggering budget of Rs 800 crore. “Allu Arjun is being paid a whopping amount of Rs 175 crore along with a backend deal of 15 per cent stake in profits for a project being backed by production giant Sun Pictures, while Atlee will take away Rs 100 crore fees for his 6th film of the career, thus underscoring his brand value and box-office pull,” a source was quoted as saying by Pinkvilla.
“The makers of the film are leaving no stone unturned to position it as a pan-Indian spectacle with global appeal, and with Atlee at the helm fresh off the Jawan success- the expectations are pretty sky-high,” the source added.
The film is likely to go on floors by August this year.
