Cuttack: Director General of Police (DGP) Abhay on Tuesday said that making the Odisha Police more proactive in 2020 will be his prime focus.
“I will try my best to make the Odisha Police more people-friendly, women-friendly and technology-friendly in 2020. We pledge to make the 5T initiative and Mo Sarkar programme of the state government successful,” the DGP said in his New Year Eve massage.
Wishing that the New Year will bring peace and tranquillity for the people of Odisha, Abhay thanked them for cooperating with the police and requested them to extend their cooperation in the coming days. He also congratulated the entire police fraternity for their diligence and perseverance for the people and hoped that they will serve the people in the same manner in the coming days.
Stating that Odisha Police have made adequate security arrangements for the New Year celebration in the state, he said extra arrangements have been made in Puri where thousands of people from Odisha and the neighbouring states are expected to visit to celebrate the New Year.
