Bhubaneswar: A morning walker was killed after being hit by a speeding car near Naka Gate Square here at around 7 am on Wednesday.
The woman, identified as Lavanya Swain of Tala Basti, died on the spot.

Following the accident, locals blocked Kalinga Studio-Khandagiri road demanding compensation for the bereaved family. They also damaged the car, involved in the accident, though the driver managed to flee the spot.
On being informed, Khandagiri police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
