Rayagada: A youth was critically injured after unidentified miscreants fired on him from close range at Mitkunduri village under Nuagaon block in Rayagada district on Sunday evening. He sustained bullet injuries on his chest and was admitted to Ispat General Hospital.
Police suspect the incident to be the fallout of past enmity.
The victim’s condition is stated to be critical. His family members, relatives and villagers are being questioned for leads into the case, police sources said.
