Noida: The Uttar Pradesh police have asked well-known YouTuber Mridul Tiwari (24) to confirm whether he allowed car dealer Deepak Kumar of Ajmer, Rajasthan to take his Lamborghini Huracan for a test drive on Sunday. The red sports car, with ‘Jai Shri Ram’ written in bold Hindi letters on its bonnet, had smashed into two labourers from Chhattisgarh near the Charkha roundabout in Noida’s Sector 94 around 5 pm on Sunday.
The construction labourers were resting on the pavement when the car hit them. The police confirmed that both of them fractured their legs and are now in hospital. A video of the incident that has now gone viral, shows the driver of the car stepping out and asking if anybody has died.
The man, identified as Deepak Kumar, later told the police that he is a car dealer and had taken the car for a test drive. According to him, the accident occurred due to a malfunction in the vehicle. He also claimed that Tiwari is planning to sell the Puducherry-registered car and he was checking its condition.
Who is Mridul Tiwari:
Mridul Tiwari, a resident of Greater Noida, who makes comedy videos, has 18 million subscribers on YouTube. His last video, under the name MriDul, garnered 6.1 million views. According to news agency ANI, Tiwari made his first YouTube video in October 2018. It was titled Sister Vs Girlfriend. His channel had one lakh subscribers in less than a year, and by March 2020, the number had gone up to 1 million. Tiwari also has 3 million followers on Instagram.
According to an Instagram post, Tiwari acquired the Lamborghini in 2023. He later posted that it was the first Lamborghini in the world with ‘Jai Shri Ram’ on its bonnet.
