Bhubaneswar: In a heartwarming development, 100 tribal students from the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), currently pursuing technical courses at KIIT-DU, secured placements in leading national and multinational companies.
It’s a great moment in the lives of these students who hail from humble tribal backgrounds, with many of them set to be the first in their respected families to enter the professional workforce.
The placement list for the 2025 graduating batch shows numerous such success stories, including offers from PRA India Ltd., Tata Power, Essar Power Gujarat Ltd, Skipper Ltd, and Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd.
The highest salary packages offered to these students are Rs 9.5 lakh per annum (LPA), and the lowest Rs 4 lakh per annum.
Students from ITI, Polytechnic, Engineering, Management and Rural Management have been selected.
About 200 talented students of KISS get the opportunity to pursue higher technical education free of cost in various courses of KIIT Deemed to be University every year.
KIIT & KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta ensures that these students of KISS receive quality education and get employment in various national and multinational companies.
The successful students received blessings from Samanta when they paid him a courtesy call on Monday.
Congratulating them, he wished the students a bright future.
“These students, being the first learners in their families, have become an inspiration for others. As the children of KISS get quality education along with employment, the goal of KISS towards reducing illiteracy and providing employment has been achieved,” said Samanta.
KIIT-DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Saranjit Singh, Registrar Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, KISS University Registrar Dr Prashanta Kumar Routray and Additional Registrar Pramod Kumar Patra were present on the occasion.
