125 Youths Of Patia In Bhubaneswar Handed Over Appointment Letters In KIIT

Bhubaneswar: As many as 125 unemployed youths of Patia village in Odisha capital were handed over appointment letters in KIIT on Saturday.

Giving away the letters at a job fair, founder of KIIT and KISS Achyuta Samanta said, “Today is a happy moment for all of us. We have given appointment letters to 125 youths of Patia after a request was made in this regard by the people of the village.”

The transformation of KIIT into one of the premier centres of learning in the country could not have been possible without the support of the villagers of Patia, he added.

The job fair was organised with active cooperation of the Patia Gram Mangala Samiti. Besides the office-bearers of the Samiti, corporators of Bhubaneswar Laxmipriya Parida, Nrusingha Rout, Chittaranjan Patra, Santosh Parida and Amulya Jena were present on the occasion.

During his visit to Patia last year, Samanta had assured the villagers of considering their demands for engaging the unemployed youths at KIIT. As of now, 225 people from the village are already been engaged in KIIT, KISS and KIMS. The total number of employees from the village in the institutions now stands at 325.
