Deogarh: Two young brothers died while their mother went missing after a boat carrying them capsized in Rengali reservoir in Odisha’s Deogarh district.
As per preliminary information, the mishap took place near Tailesara when a man along with his wife and sons had ventured into the reservoir for fishing and their boat suddenly overturned.
While the man managed to swim ashore after fighting strong currents, his two sons and wife were swept away.
A rescue operation was launched soon after the mishap and bodies of the two children were recovered. Rescue operation is in progress to trace the missing women.
Sources said Kundheigola police have launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
